6.7.7 Partial penetration, (PP). Any impact which is not a complete penetration

may be considered a partial penetration.

6.7.8 Procuring activity. The term "procuring activity" is that activity of the

government which actually initiates the request for procurement and maintains the

records of the procurement.

6.7.9 Witness plate. A thin sheet located behind and parallel to the ballistic

test sample which is used to detect penetrating projectiles or spall.
